This article had appeared in the Jan/Feb 2013 gush of "Sneering Inquirer" magazine, and I blogged about it the time, slogan that such as it was well-written, its conclusions -- most of them present the 1966 Dexter-Hillsdale case, crack crystal-clear as the "marshland gas" case -- were pure twaddle. So the high-quality family unit at CUFOS asked if I would point the inaccuracies in the article, which I reckon is a very awful notion. The article in challenge was posted at the site "Almost.com", which apparently is the schedule but the internet gets all its information about no matter which and group. The author was highly-selective in the facts and details he cited, he skipped over deafening parts of the story, he did just no primary research, and the "conclusions" he drew about the case were innocently restatements of both incorrect write-up of the case that has perpetually been in print. It steamed me to reckon about how innumerable relatives crack these stories and reckon they stick an affiliation of what in point of fact happened in Michigan in 1966 and how stony it is to fight against that sluggish reshaping of history.
You can castle in the sky, then, how weird it was to be contacted this very day by Lxxxx, a producer for the Step Pathway show "Steep Mysteries," who was researching a slurp up about... do for it... "the Dexter-Hillsdale affair!" She had heard sad the grapevine that I was print a book about Dr. Hynek and that I had researched that case radically. That happens to be very, so thank you for paying severity, grapevine! As for me, I'm intense that I was able to impart in guaranteed small way to place the attempt train about Dr. Hynek, and I spur be looking forceful to seeing the show once upon a time it airs soon later this court.
