ALIENS AT PITTSBURG"By Rupert Matthews"Perhaps the first case of a close encounter of the third kind to be made at the time it happened, rather than in retrospect, occured on 25 August 1952. William Squyres, a radio worker in Pittsburg, Kansas, was driving to work through farmland at 5.30am along Highway 60. As he drove he saw something odd in a pasture field that usually held cattle. As he drew closer he saw the object was silvery grey in colour, about 70 feet across and 12 feet high. It was shaped, Squyres said, rather like two soup bowls placed rim to rim and then flattened somewhat. Squyres drove up until he was alongside the field and only about 100 yards from the object. He then stopped his car and studied the object more clsoely. He could now see that the underside of the object had a faint bluish glow to it. Around the edge of the object was a rim or walkway. From this rose a number of vertical poles, each topped by what seemed to be a spinning propeller. The object was making a dull, throbbing noise. At one end of the object there were what seemed to be opaque windows through which indistinct objects could be seen moving. At the other end was a completely clear window through which could be seen a man apparently fiddling with controls or instruments. So far as Squyres could make out, the man was entirely human. Fascinated, Squyres got out of his car to get a better look. Instantly the object began to rise vertically, the throbbing noise increasing in volume as it did so. The object continued to rise slowly for some seconds, then suddenly accelerated and flew off at high speed. Squyres reported the incident to the USAF in case he had seen some sort of advanced foreign aircraft. An Air Force officer turned up a couple of days later and asked to be shown the site. He found that in the centre of the field the long grass had been squashed flat in a circle about 60 feet in diameter. The grass stems had all been bent over, not broken, and formed a swirling spiral pattern. The officer collected samples of grass and soil and sent them off for analysis - which later found nothing at all unusual. The sighting of the UFO was in many ways routine and shows many of the usual features of a close encounter of the second kind. The sighting of a pilot for the UFO inclined the Blue Book investigator to put the incident down as an hallucination, if it had not been for the flattened grass. I was leaving the library at University of Ottawa, walking on Cumberland towards Laurier and to my left I saw a bright white light that just zipped across the sky, there was a building so as it zipped across I couldn't see where it went because the building blocked my view.
I don't know what your description is: "VIKE FACTOR NOTE: This portion, or sentence is what another witness quoted when seeing the same object. "Just happened to be looking out my window and saw a really bright light across the sky - glowing orb-like moving very fast. It wasn't like any shooting star I had ever seen there was no tail visible."
It was just like that.
I was by myself and didn't know what to think, so I Googled UFO sighting and came across how someone saw what I saw one hour earlier in Kingston, thought I would let you know what I saw!

While at my daughters soccer practice I just happened to look up into the sky and noticed the two objects moving in the same direction but as they advanced further into the horizon they seem to move further from each other. I have included video taken with my SAMSUNG GIII as video evidence. The focus isn't all that great but you can see two objects in the video. the sky was clear with light cloud cover on the horizon to the SW. Both objects did reflect sun light for a couple of seconds before they vanished into the horizon.

To pass time I Was watching flares go up then illuminate as the floated down over a tank firing then listen to the tanks firing then a flare ascended but it was farther left of the others and when it illuminated and float down it remained stationary look like a star I waited then a looked through the nightvision scope mounted on the m60 i was manning I saw and object with 4 to 5 circular white lights or windows but they gave off no light just dull white I then look with My naked I see the star through the scope an object then I hoped down into my vehicle and woke the medic that was attached to my squad and pointed out the star and asked him to look through the scope and tell me what he saw he did then look at me then looked again confirming the same he saw what I saw after about 15 to 20 mins it started slowly moving to my right along the tree tops the star behind it were blocked showing the the outline of the object and the tops of the trees passed in front of the windows then it moved toward my position stopping directly overhead then we could see that the object was triangle shaped with a circle in the center all black then it started slowly ascending and spinning then it rapidly ascended out of view

I was walking and noticed a red orb just over the tree line moving my direction. It Stopped and hovered for a few seconds. Then it started changing direction while moving upwards until it disappeared. As it was moving towards me and stopped I tried to take a picture but by camera could not focus on it. As it moved farther upwards I was able to get my camera to focus on it. It made no sound. Helicopter was in the area about five minutes afterwards, not sure if it was because of the orb or not.

Her choosing to process my PA request as a FOIA request thus becomes a red herring to divert my exercise of all my PA rights (including the right to amend any incorrect material affecting my privacy interests). Her miscalculation not only raises questions of unsavory conduct; it also calls forth the history of the Watergate cover-up, in which culpable officials indulged in fraudulent concealment of their wrongdoing.
3. Ms. Phillips's denial abets the NSA's fraudulent concealment by wantonly nullifying the Privacy Act's provisions that help protect me and my current and future whistleblower sources from unwarranted
invasion of privacy by any federal communications-surveillance program. Blowing the whistle on any federal cover-up of UFO reality is no crime; rather, it's a public service and demands our freedom from official interference by government entities under the guise of antiterrorism or anti-espionage. Complaint files.

we were in the back yard having a campfire at my uncles place outside of Winlock when we looked up straight above us and thought we saw a satellite. it was moving very slowly for a satellite much too slow then it got really bright brighter than any star. it moved on for a few seconds and then dimned down to its original light. it moved on for a few more seconds then it got extremely bright again. it repeated this pattern until it was out of sight. yeah and the course of maybe 20 30 minutes we saw three of these objects doing the same thing. they were heading what look like to be from the south going to the north. what really made this significant was how slow it moved and how bright it became and how it dimned and then became bright again. about an hour later we saw another one coming from the north heading south. this one was further away from us not directly overhead. once again it did the same pattern. the first time we saw this was somewhere between 10 o'clock or 11 and then the 4th one the very last one was at midnight. I have never seen satellites behave like that before. I have never seen satellites move that slowly before!

I was super excited to discover a mini-documentary about Earthquake Lights (not the layers of light, but specifically the white orbs), featured in the great and VERY fair/skeptical "Alien Files" series, as they DEFINITELY EXPLAIN SOME OR ALL OF THE JAPAN UFOS. I've been curious about this phenomenon for a while, and really believed there was a connection with volcanoes, earthquakes, the pyramids, and UFO orb sightings. I couldn't find anything about it online, though, but now I'm finding a host of stuff (I've got the right terminology this time around).
Apparently intelligent-seeming balls of light show up before and during big quakes. But might these orbs show up in other situations, due to the same causes but in different circumstances - perhaps the Oklahoma tornado sightings? Perhaps over urban cities? What is this telling us about the tectonic activity going on?
They pop up with intense tectonic plate movement, and in areas where this happens, other crazy events tend to happen - even poltergeist reports! This is all scientific news, guys, but earthquake lights are just in the beginning of being discovered (this documentary I caught isn't all that old).
If scientists payed more attention to the UFO crowd, they would have been on this a long time ago. Anyways, do earthquake lights explain why UFO orbs show up along ley lines (sacred sites) and natural disasters? And are they tied to free energy? Were the pyramids trying to tap into this natural Earth electricity, is this why so much is covered up about Egypt and UFOs in general?

Tales of hairy monsters existing in the Asian wilderness can be found in the writings of several venerable Chinese scholars who linked these creatures to the "time of the dragon," the presumed genesis of Asian civilization. Despite an occasional report by a European visitor to the region, the apelike creatures did not receive any sort of widespread notoriety until the beginning of the twentieth century.During an expedition into the Himalayas in 1906, botanist H. J. Elwes was astonished to glimpse a hairy figure racing across a field of snow below him. The scientific establishment dismissed his report until several scholars discovered the journals of Major Lawrence Waddell, who, during his 1887 expedition, reported having found humanlike tracks in the snow.The First Everest Expedition was launched in 1921, led by Colonel C. K. Howard-Bury. The climbing party of six British men and 26 native porters was crawling slowly up the north face of Everest, near the Lhakpa La Pass, when Howard-Bury spotted tracks in the morning snow. Most of them were easily recognizable as those of rabbits or foxes, but one set of indentations was peculiar, appearing as if a man walking barefoot had made them. A Sherpa guide identified the tracks as belonging to the Yeti or the "mehteh kangmi," the man-beast of the mountains who lived in the snow.Later, when Howard-Bury telegraphed his reports to Calcutta, he mentioned the incident briefly. Unfortunately, the telegraphic facilities were very primitive and the words "mehteh kangmi" were garbled into "metch kangmi." The expedition's assistants in Calcutta were confused by the term and asked a Calcutta newspaper columnist to translate the term. The columnist told them that "metch" was a term of extreme disgust, so it might be translated as the "horrible snowman" or the "abominable snowman."A reporter for one of England's most sensational newspapers was in the office when the telegram was translated. He raced for the cable office in Calcutta, wiring his paper that the First Everest Expedition had encountered a frightening creature known as the "abominable snowman." Thus the hairy wild men of the Himalayas were named in error and the term has persisted to this day. When Howard-Bury and his unsuccessful mountain climbers admitted defeat on Mt. Everest, they returned to civilization and discovered that newspaper reporters were eager for more information about the abominable snowmen.

In the 1930s scientists studied the reports of explorer Frank Smythe's discovery of Yeti tracks in the snow at 14,000 feet. The footprints measured 13 inches in length and were five inches wide in 1936.Famed mountaineer Eric E. Shipton claimed that he saw similar tracks on his expedition to Everest World War II (1939-45) stopped mountaineering and scientific exploration of the formidable Himalayas, but in 1942, Slavomir Rawicz and four other men escaped from a Communist prison camp in Siberia and struck out on a "long walk" toward India. They reported meeting two Yeti during their incredible journey.Sightings of Yeti mushroomed in the 1950s as several scientists seriously investigated the snowmen. In 1950, natives reported Yeti in three different locations, including a sighting by a large group of monks near Thyangboche. A Yeti also ventured out of the forest and hung around the Thyangboche Monastery until it was finally chased away by monks who blew bugles, struck gongs, and shrieked at it. The following year, Eric Shipton discovered tracks and photographed them while on his way to Everest with an expedition.In 1952, Sir Edmund Hillary and George Lowe found "snowman" hair in a high mountain pass, and tracks were reported by a Swiss expedition. In 1954, an expedition financed by the London Daily Mail" set out to capture a Yeti. They found tracks in several different locations, but returned without their prize. Three other scientific groups also reported finding tracks.
Tom Slick Track Cast, Reversed
In 1957, the first expedition sponsored by the American millionaire Tom Slick found hair and footprints at several locations. Two porters said Yeti had been sighted in those regions earlier that year. Peter and Bryan Bryne said they had seen a snowman when the Slick Expedition was in the Arun Valley. In 1958, Gerald Russell and two porters with the Second Slick Expedition encountered a small snowman near a river, and in the following year, tracks were reported by the Third Slick Expedition, as well as by members of a Japanese expedition.
Sir Edmund Hillary, the man who conquered Mt. Everest, created a sensation when he returned with the alleged scalp of a Yeti. Hillary later proved that the so-called scalp was actually goat skin, and he declared that snowman tracks were made by foxes, bears, and other animals that became enlarged when the snow is melted by the sun.

In August 1981, Soviet mountain climber Igor Tatsl told the "Moscow News Weekly" that he and his fellow climbers had seen a Yeti and that they had attempted a friendly, spontaneous contact with the creature. Tatsl went on to state that his team had made a plaster cast of an imprint of a Yeti's footprint that they had found on a tributary of the Varzog River. This particular river rushes through the Gissar Mountains in the Pamiro-Alai range of Tadzhik in Central Asia. In Tatsl's considered opinion the Yeti may quite likely be humankind's closest evolutionary relative. He further believed that their senses were more highly developed than those of the human species.

Russian scientists have sponsored serious efforts to track down the Yeti for more than a quarter of a century. Although each Russian province may have its own name for the mysterious giants of the mountain-in Dagestan, "kaptar"; in Azerbaijan, "meshe-adam"; in Georgia, "tkys-katsi"; while the Chechens, Ingushes, Kabardins, and Balkars call it the "almasti"-each startled eyewitness seems to describe the same strange beast.
The Chinese call the snowman "yeren," and in 1977, 1980, and 1982, expeditions searching for the manbeast set out to track down their quarry in the Shennongjia Forest Park in western Hubei province. In September 1993, a group of Chinese engineers claimed to have seen three yeren walking on trails in the Shennongjia Forest Park.In October 1994, the Chinese government established the Committee for the Search of Strange and Rare Creatures, including among its members specialists in vertebrate paleontology and palaeanthropology. A loose consensus among interested members from the Chinese Academy of Sciences maintains that the yeren are some species of unknown primates. The largest cast of an alleged wildman footprint is 16 inches long, encouraging estimates that the yeren itself would stand more than seven feet tall and weigh as much as 660 pounds. The scientific committee has also studied and examined eight hair specimens said to have come from yeren ranging through China and Tibet. The analyses of the hairs, varying in color from the black collected in Yunnan province and the white collected in Tibet to the reddish brown from Hubei, indicate a nonhuman source, but no known animal.

"Mi-Go" is the usual specific term for "Wildman" in Tibetan and is more precise than "Yeti"
Chinese Wildman mask prop from movie. This was in a state of direpair when I got the reference photo and so I made a fixup by taking parts off of one side and mirroring on the other: the result is fairly good but still has some problems (the side teeth would never stick out that way but I have left them in there anyway) The rresult is recognisably some sort of an ape with a facial structure close to an orangutan. There is an indication for a sagittal crestthe upper lip has been pulled back to show the fangs but normally should hang dow more, and the fangs are also exaggerated. Please note the eyes are placed closer together than in the Migo mask erent and the teeth on the other mask are much more square and even.
