Executives and experts in the UFO-ET Industry are worried about the decrease of UFO sightings in the world. Believers want to know if the extraterrestrials are tired of us, but many think that, on the contrary, humans are tired of extraterrestrials.

I think that this immanentization of the eschaton is in fact an attempt to make the imaginary conspiracy bigger and to give some energy to the dying ETH, the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis. Remember that some people make a living with these fantasies, lecturing about "contacts in the desert" and rewriting UFO books. There is something more that concerns to the crisis of the ETH business: truth is that individuals who believe in the existence of rabbits, squirrels and ladies sitting in Martian rocks, usually do not buy books because they don't know how to read. Andy Basiago, the man who discovered organic and even civilized life on Mars, is the same individual who time-jumped and space-jumped in a secret program of the CIA when he was a kid.
Now, back into the decrease of UFO sightings, it's also possible that people learn the truth that goes unmentioned by the exo-fantasists: 95 percent of the things people see in the sky are natural phenomena and human made artifacts.

Mathematicians from Edinburgh University have conducted a study demonstrating the possibility that an advanced extraterrestrial civilization could use self-replicating probes to study the galaxy.
Their findings show that their theoretical alien probes could have already arrived.
The mathematicians, Duncan Forgan and Arwen Nicholson, had their paper on the analysis of how probes could travel through space published in the Journal of Astrobiology. They studied the possibility that alien races used the gravity of stars to "slingshot" the probes in order to gain speed.
This is a technique we already use for probes, such as the Voyager. The Voyager 1 space probe was launched in 1977 and is just reaching the edge of our solar system. However, Forgan and Nicholson believe that older civilizations could have launched similar probes that are already here. They also speculate that alien probes could use a method of self-replication. They might collect dust and gas to build new versions of themselves during their long trips.
The researchers say, "We can conclude that that a fleet of self-replicating probes can indeed explore the Galaxy in a sufficiently short time.. orders of magnitude less than the age of the Earth." The question is, if they are here, why haven't we seen them? Referring to speculation on this topic from NASA space expert Robert Freitas in 1983, Forgan suggests that the probes may be designed to hide themselves.
Forgan explained to Yahoo! News, "The probe camouflages itself so as to set up a threshold test of the technology or intelligence of the recipient species, where the test must be met before the species is allowed to communicate with the device." According to Yahoo! News, Jacob Haqq-Misra of the Rock Ethics Institute suggested in a paper in 2011 that perhaps the remains of extraterrestrial technology sent out to probe the galaxy remains buried here or on a nearby planet, awaiting discovery.
He wrote, "Extraterrestrial artifacts may exist in the solar system without our knowledge simply because we have not yet searched sufficiently." Haqq-Misra argues, "Searches to date of the solar system are sufficiently incomplete that we cannot rule out the possibility that nonterrestrial artifacts are present and may even be observing us."
Forgan disagrees, he says, "Evidence in the form of 'spent' or destroyed probes is less likely, as any civilisation attempting interstellar exploration are presumably skilled engineers, and would send probes with the ability to self-repair due to the large travel distances and times required for such a task, giving the probes a very long life-span."
Dr. Anders Sandberg, of the Future of Humanity Institute at Oxford University has another answer as to why we have not seen any of these probes yet. He thinks intelligent civilizations destroy themselves before reaching the technological ability to send the probes. Sandberg says, "If advanced societies wipe themselves out, or decide to not go exploring, they need to converge to this outcome with extremely high probability, since it only takes one that escapes this fate to fill the universe." Of course there is something else to consider.
Last month the Mutual UFO Network received over 600 UFO sighting reports in the United States. Even if 95% of them are misidentifications, that leaves 30 unknowns in just one month.
And a woman in the Queensland city of Bundaberg in Australia captured a video of a strange light in the sky on March 18, 2013. The anonymous woman reported her UFO sighting to the Bundaberg NewsMail-Bundaberg's daily newspaper.
She explained to the paper: "At about 9.15pm as I was watching television I saw through the open lounge room door a blue light that came down like a beam not far from our house, or at least it looked like that," she said. "It came down from the sky, deathly quiet, and then disappeared."
The sighting was not the first for the woman, who said she had seen something odd several years ago as well.
"There was also another incident when my husband, two of our friends and I sat on our verandah," she said. "Suddenly we saw a light in the sky that had come from nowhere, looked like a plane but was stationary and there was also no noise. "As we were watching it, it suddenly dove downwards and disappeared. No plane or even helicopter can do that."
Of course there could be quite a simple explanation for it, but I can't think of one," she said. Is it possible this woman has seen such a self-replicating alien robot space probe?
Perhaps Forgan and Nicholson should consider that some of these unidentified objects may be the probes they are looking for. via openmindstv

The SCIFLI (Scientifically Calibrated In-Flight Imagery) team, based at NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, is preparing to capture thermal snapshots of the super hot re-entry of Orion into Earth's atmosphere following its first test flight.
The uncrewed Orion capsule is scheduled to launch no earlier than Dec. 4 at 7:05 a.m. ET atop a Delta IV Heavy rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Launch Complex 37 in Florida.
The team will use a U.S. Navy NP-3D aircraft, also called Orion, to capture the imagery. It is equipped with a long-range infrared optical system called "Cast Glance." The NP-3D Orion is one of five operated by the NAVAIR Weapons Division's Air Test and Evaluation Squadron-30 (VX-30), Pt. Mugu, California. The research effort is sponsored by the NASA Engineering and Safety Center.
After the team has confirmation of the launch, the aircraft will fly from its base in Pt. Mugu to the desired observation location over the Pacific Ocean, 200-300 miles from California's Baja Peninsula. Once the aircraft reaches a point about 25 miles away from the Orion's projected entry trajectory, it continues flying in a sort of race track pattern until the capsule enters the atmosphere and emits enough thermal energy for the plane's infrared cameras to catch a glimpse. Then the crew will scramble to take images as Orion descends at hypersonic speeds.
The SCIFLI team will have personnel inside the Mission Control Center in Houston and at Pt. Mugu to support and coordinate aircraft operations.
Another Navy NP-3D Cast Glance aircraft, sponsored by the Orion program, will also follow the water landing with cameras, but looking more at the descent - especially the parachutes. The drogues - deploy at an altitude of 22,000 feet.
The two drogue chutes are used to slow the capsule down and stabilize it. They get released, then three massive main parachutes deploy to slow Orion down to less than 20 miles an hour for a safe splashdown in the Pacific Ocean.
Two Navy MH-60S Knighthawk helicopters, out of the Helicopter Sea Combat squadron #8 (HSC-8) based out of the Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego, equipped with still, video and handheld infrared cameras will also be on hand to observe the last 10,000 feet of Orion's first journey. They are supporting the San Diego Naval Station-based Amphibious transport dock, USS Anchorage (LPD-23), which will recover the spacecraft.
And one more aircraft - the remotely piloted Ikhana/ MQ-9 Predator B, based at NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center at Edwards, California, will fly its own race track pattern to the south of Orion's projected entry trajectory. It will provide live video of the splashdown for NASA TV.
